How does the claimant pay the claimant representative for her time, knowledge, and overhead?

If the claimant is successful in her or his efforts to be found disabled, the Social Security Administration will either pay the claimant representative directly or they may pay the claimant who then pays her.

If the claimant is unsuccessful in his or her efforts to be judged disabled, the only expenses possibly incurred are those associated with assembling the claimant's records. These may include copying and fax costs or mileage accumulated in collecting evidence. Discuss these with the claimant representative.
